‘I like that’… Thierry Henry loved what he heard David Raya say after Arsenal beat Porto last night
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry seemed to enjoy a response from David Raya in an interview after the win over Porto last night.
The Spaniard has had a difficult time at Arsenal because he replaced a fan favourite in Aaron Ramsdale. However, he finally won the fans over last night with a tremendous performance in the Champions League.

Thierry Henry loved what David Raya said after Arsenal vs Porto
David Raya was heavily criticised for his role in the goal Arsenal conceded at Porto in the first leg.
Many felt at the time that the Spaniard was at fault as it seemed like he jumped a bit too early. That gave Porto a 1-0 lead in the first leg and put the pressure on Arsenal.
The Gunners were made to work hard again last night. Leandro Trossard‘s goal levelled the score on aggregate, but a definitive result could not be achieved after 120 minutes of football.
The game went to penalties, and Raya became the hero for Arsenal. He saved two spot-kicks and got very close to stopping another as well.
In an interview with after the game, Raya was asked about his two saves, and the Spaniard quickly claimed he should’ve saved another one. Thierry Henry loved that response.
When Raya said “I should’ve saved three,” Thierry Henry immediately responded: “I like that!”
The goalkeeper then added: “I don’t think the goalie coach will be happy with the third one I conceded.”

David Raya has silenced his doubters
Almost every Arsenal fan questioned the signing of David Raya last summer.
There were some really angry reactions when Mikel Arteta dropped Aaron Ramsdale for the Spaniard as well, and it was a very difficult few weeks for Raya.
However, over the last two months, the Brentford loanee has been outstanding. He has played a massive part in Arsenal’s tremendous Premier League form, and he became a hero in Europe last night as well.
It’s safe to say now that Raya has silenced all his doubters, and Arsenal fans love him now.
