‘I learn a lot’: Alfie Devine names the three Spurs players he’s always impressed by in first-team training
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alfie Devine has signed a new five-year deal at the club.
Devine is Tottenham’s youngest ever player and goal scorer, after netting against Marine in the FA Cup.
The England under-19 international was asked about training with Tottenham’s first-team.
Devine appears to be impressed with Tottenham’s other midfielders, and believes he’s learning a lot from the senior players.

“When I look up to players it’s positionally based.
“So, Pierre (Hojbjerg), (Yves) Bissouma coming in, (Rodrigo) Bentancur.
“When I go up there I learn a lot from them, especially the new boys that have come in.
“The squad we already had was very good, but adding those boys in have made it even better.
Devine impressed with Tottenham midfielders
Devine is one of Tottenham’s most exciting young prospects.
Antonio Conte decided to keep Devine at the club this season rather than sending him out on loan.
He was also training with Tottenham’s first-team after they returned from their pre-season tour of South Korea.
Devine is typically an attacking central midfielder, but has played a number of roles at Tottenham.

Before picking up a hamstring injury this season, he’s been playing as a false nine of Tottenham’s under-21s.
Spurs have an enviable selection of midfielders, and the 18-year-old has some brilliant players to learn from.
It’s no surprise Devine has been impressed with Tottenham’s midfield options.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is typically Tottenham’s most defensive player.
However, he popped up with the opening goal against Fulham on Saturday with a darting run into the box.

Antonio Conte’s tactics demand that his midfielders have to be able to fulfil a number of different roles.
Tottenham were interested in an attacking midfielder this summer, with James Maddison one reported target.
Devine could fill that role if he continues to improve under Conte.
Devine may not be playing first-team football right now, but playing under a top-level coach and surrounded by high-level Premier League players will certainly be aiding his development.
