‘I just think’: Jamie Carragher makes worrying claim about £180,000-a-week Liverpool star
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Roberto Firmino will struggle to “ever establish himself back” in the Reds front three.
Jurgen Klopp boasts one of the best attacking setups in world football, with five world-class forwards at his service.
Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been dominating opponents for a number of years.

In 2020, Liverpool signed Diogo Jota, and he hit the ground running at Anfield, quickly becoming a fan favourite.
And just last month, the Reds signed Luis Diaz, who has done well so far and looks like a superb acquisition.
For so many years, Liverpool’s front line consisted of Mane, Firmino and Salah.
However, Carragher feels that Jota has now leapfrogged the Brazilian in Klopp’s starting plans.
On , Mark Schwarzer asked the Anfield icon who he’d pick in Liverpool’s front three.
“It’s very easy for me, I think it is a front three right now still,” replied Carragher.
“I just think Jota and Firmino have traded positions.
“I think it’ll still be Mo Salah, Jota through the middle and Sadio Mane on the left.
“Diaz still has to show us what he’s about, but I think that conversation is maybe more for next season.
“But I think it’s going to be very difficult for Firmino to ever establish himself back in that front three just because of the goals Jota’s getting now.
“He’s been absolutely fantastic.”

“Jota has been unbelievable”
Carragher isn’t the only pundit to recently suggest that Jota is now Klopp’s first choice up front in the middle.
“I think Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane are Jurgen Klopp’s preferred front three,” Paul Merson recently wrote on .
“Roberto Firmino knits them together, but Jota has been unbelievable since joining the club and is ahead of the Brazilian in the pecking order, in my opinion.”
Nonetheless, some games will warrant Firmino’s style of play more than Jota’s, and vice versa.
And of course, both Firmino and Jota can play together – they’ve taken to the pitch together times.
