‘I just saw’: Arteta names what made him ‘emotional’ during Arsenal’s 1-0 win yesterday
Mikel Arteta has praised the support of the Emirates Stadium crowd after yesterday’s against Norwich City for Arsenal.
, the Basque manager loved the level of support Arsenal received from the crowd. The Gunners had won a single point or scored a goal up until yesterday’s match against the Canaries.
However, a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal saw Arsenal break their run of awful form. The striker guided the Gunners to their first win, goal and clean sheet of the Premier League season.

The result put Arsenal away from the relegation zone. And supporters will be hoping that the win can be the springboard for a new run of form that sees the north London side continue to climb up the table.
And for Arteta, the home support was an inspiration behind Arsenal’s scrappy win against Norwich this weekend.
The former Manchester City coach said: “I just saw incredible fans trying to inspire a team, trying to tell them ‘we are ready to suffer with you and we’re going to support you’.

“I’m extremely grateful. And I got pretty emotional to see that because I think it’s pretty difficult to see in football.”
The Emirates crowd was rocking despite the stereotype that the Arsenal stadium is usually quiet. But with unrest amongst fans, there is no surprise that the atmosphere was electric during yesterday’s win against Norwich.
