‘I have heard’: What Mo Salah is now thinking about his Liverpool future, amid links to Saudi Arabia

Mo Salah might be injured right now at Liverpool but it hasn’t stopped the question marks over his future continuing to drag along.

Liverpool managed to keep hold of Salah in the summer. Despite huge interest from Saudi Arabiꩵa, the Reds he♓ld firm and rejected massive offers for the Egyptian.

Now into 2024 and the Saudi regime prepared to spend huge again in the summer, talk of🔴 Salah heading to the Middle East is rife once more.

However, The Athletic’s David Ornstein has suggested that while Saudi interest is there, the player himself might actually prefer to stay pu༒t.

Mo Salah could prefer to stay in Liverpool

Answering questions i🍌n his latest , Ornstein discussed what he knows on Salah.

And in his answer, he suggeste🥃d that Salah’s preference for staying in Europe could work to Liverpool’s favour.

“Not aware of any decision on that yet. I’m sure Liverpool w🎃ould like to extend Salah’s contract but, of course, that is his decision and if he doesn’t, then all involved will need to decide whether he goes into his final year or if a sale🀅 is best (depending on offers coming in),” Ornstein .

“The strength of interest from Saudi Arabia last summer suggests they 𝕴will have another go in the next transfer window — but as I’ve said on here before, I have heard suggestions that Salah would🥀 be keen to keep playing at the highest level in Europe. On this one, we’ll need to be patient.”

No need to leave

Ye💜s, there’s the 📖idea of moving to the Middle East and being the poster boy for the Saudi game that might entice Salah.

But right now, there 🗹is simply no reason other t𒁃han that for the forward to leave Liverpool.

Salah is adored at Anfield and remains in his prime as well. ☂He is showing no sign of slowing down either and to see him move to Saudi in that condition would be a tough one to take.

As it💙 stands, money aside, Salah can have little reason to really push to leave. And with the region suf꧃fering wider problems bigger than football, Salah might well see the security of Europe a safe bet as well.

On pure footballing terms, though, Salah is best off with 🔴Liverpool and continuing to build his legacy.
