‘I hate to say it’: Former chairman says Premier League club should be ‘knocking on’ Nottingham Forest’s door after recent news
that Brighton should be ‘knocking on’ Nottingham Forest’s door after recent news.
.
The move would leave the Seagulls managerless and Jordan thinks the south coast side should be moving for Forest boss Steve Cooper.
Cooper has done a brilliant job at Forest as he guided the club back into the Premier League after a 23-year wait.
And Jordan says he would be ‘knocking’ at Evangelos Mariankis’ door if he was the chairman of Brighton.

Jordan says Brighton should be ‘knocking on’ Forest’s door
“Where would I go? I look down the championship list if I’m Brighton, I can’t see anybody in there,” .
“They had the privilege of going to look at Swansea [to appoint Potter].
“I hate to say it but if I was Brighton, I’d be knocking on Nottingham Forest’s door.
Jim White responded: “What for Cooper?”
“Yeah [laughs]. Absolutely. You wouldn’t get very far with it, possibly. But that’s the sort of direction you’re looking.
“You can put Sean [Dyche] in there and you can suggest Sean Dyche is maybe a good fit for that place [Brighton].
“It depends how Sean views the Brighton opportunity or more importantly, it depends how Brighton views the Sean Dyche opportunity.”

Forest fans will not be happy to hear Jordan suggesting that Brighton go for Cooper in the event that Potter leaves.
The Welsh boss is a fan-favourite at the City Ground after taking over a struggling Forest side last season and guiding them to a play-offs win.
Cooper has hit a difficult period in the Premier League after losing three games in a row.
But you’d think the Forest boss has enough credit in the bank to have time to turn their form around.
