‘I can’t give any assurances’… Chief Executive admits his 24-year-old could leave after he is linked with Celtic
Celtic’s need to add a striker in the January window has been one of Scottish football’s worst-kept secrets.
With Brendan Rodgers on the cusp of losing three key players to the Asian Cup in January, the Celtic manager is clearly hunting for a player not only to cover that period of games but to also add competition to the misfiring, Kyogo Furuhashi.
With the club being heavily linked to Aberdeen’s, Bojan Miovski, the Pittodrie Chief Executive, Allan Burrows, has spoken out about the speculation surrounding his striker and has told how he can’t guarantee he won’t leave the club.
Burrows said [], “We are in no rush to sell Bojan Miovski. Aberdeen have a player trading model that requires you, at times when it suits you, to sell. However that has to be at the value you believe is right for the club.
“Bojan has demonstrated this season and last season he is a striker of supreme quality and I’ve no doubt is going to have a fantastic career at the very top level. I can’t give any assurances because I don’t know what any other club is going to do.
“We are not actively seeking to sell Bojan as we go into the January transfer window. Our anticipation is Bojan will be here for beyond that period. He is good enough to play in the top five leagues in Europe and I think his value will be demonstrated when we do sell him, that’s the level he goes to.”
What’s been said about Bojan Miovski joining Celtic
The 24-year-old has been spoken about a lot over the past few weeks. His goalscoring record in a struggling Aberdeen side has been impressive and that’s why it has led to rumours of Celtic wanting him.
Former Celtic hero, Peter Grant, has said that it would be ‘ignorant’ for his old club to at least not look into the possibility of acquiring Miovski.

Barry Ferguson claimed that the North Macedonian international is good enough to pull on the green and white hoops.
Tam McManus believes that Miovski is ‘clever’ enough to be able to make it at Celtic whilst Aberdeen has reportedly put a price tag on their star man’s head.
The old saying of ‘There’s no smoke without fire’ is apt here as it seems that the Miovski to Celtic story is simply not going to go away.
