‘I call him The Octopus’: Milner says one Liverpool ace plays like he’s got ‘more than two legs’
Liverpool ace James Milner has waxed lyrical about Reds teammate Fabinho.
The Anfield veteran says he calls Fabinho “The Octopus” and plays like he’s got “more than two legs”.
On Saturday, Liverpool posted a Twitter video of Milner and Jordan Henderson backing three teammates for the FIFA Team of the Year.
The Reds duo spoke highly of Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“Another player who’s improved every year, probably one of the best in the world in that position,” said Henderson.
“He has so many good attributes, he makes the team better and he makes players around him better.”
Milner added: “I call him The Octopus. It’s like he’s got more than two legs at times, with how he tackles.”
Fabinho has been at Liverpool since 2018, when he joined the Reds from Monaco for a reported £39million.
The Brazil international has made 144 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, registering six goals and eight assists.
Fabinho’s efforts helped Liverpool win the Champions League, Premier League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

In 2019, the 28-year-old revealed a few more of his nicknames, including a vacuum cleaner brand.
“A few people call me this! Between us players I’m more known as Flaco but they’re cool nicknames,” Fabinho told Liverpool’s .
“Before the coach used it [Dyson], another player used it – I think Milner might have said it.
“It’s a cool nickname but the other one that the majority of the players use, Flaco, that was started by Virgil and everybody started calling me it.”
