After all, the attacker grew up supporting City as a child. And with the Premier League giants still not replacing Sergio Aguero with a natural striker, Haaland could be perfect for City in January or the 2022 summer window.

And for Wenger, the ex-Arsenal manager believes that Haaland will end up in the Premier League before we know it.

Wenger said when asked about the future of Haaland: “I believe it will happen [a move to England]. economic power of the Premier League is too strong.

The former Arsenal boss later added with: “English football is dominant because it is where the most money is. The best players always go the best way to make the most money.

“Haaland is likely to be the next high-profile goalscorer after Mbappe. He’s a super talent.”

Where Haaland ends up next will be one of the most covered stories in football in the coming months, and given the intelligence of Wenger, there is a good chance that City are truly in the best position to sign the Dortmund star in the next 12 months.
