‘I beg we sign him’: Spurs fans react as Marcel Sabitzer plays against Liverpool
Spurs fans got the chance to watch RB Leipzig midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer, last night, as he lined up for the German outift against Liverpool.
Sabitzer has been linked with a move to Spurs for some time now. Back in December, claimed that a £45m move was potentially in the offing for the Austrian midfield star.
The 26-year-old endured a nightmare moment against the Reds last night, however. It was his wayward pass which allowed Mo Salah in to score for Liverpool and send Jurgen Klopp’s men on their way.
However, all was not lost for Sabitzer in the game. Overall, he produced a decent enough display and showed some signs of the player who has clearly caught the eye of Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho.
Twitter, then, was awash with comments from Spurs fans talking about Sabitzer. And while some picked up on a less than perfect display, there was still some Tottenham supporters who like what they see.
Just want to point out that Sabitzer is top class. He had a bad game last night like all players do from time to time. He has all the tools to succeed in the prem and instantly improves our midfield. I beg we sign him in the summer 🤞
