Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s heard about Adrien Rabiot signing for Liverpool or Manchester United
Manchester United and Liverpool are both being linked with the same midfielder but according to Fabrizio Romano only one of the pair have a chance of landing him.
Both the Reds and Red Devils are in the market for new players this summer and as usual, are being linked with a plethora of players from around Europe and beyond.
Naturally, both sets of supporters are keen to see business being done and especially from the Liverpool end.
United have, of course, signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro in recent weeks while Liverpool are yet to make their mark since Arne Slot took over.
However, one midfielder being linked with a move to Liverpool is French star, Adrien Rabiot.
The midfielder is a free agent this summer and has been linked with both United and Liverpool, with reports suggesting Rabiot would prefer a move to United over Anfield.
And discussing Rabiot today, Fabrizio Romano has suggested that as of right now, Liverpool simply won’t be making the move.

Adrien Rabiot will not be joining Liverpool
Speaking on his channel about the situation involving Rabiot right now, Romano has confirmed that Liverpool are simply not interested in signing him.
“Adrien Rabiot is waiting for the Premier League. He has some possibilities in other countries so keeping all the options open but he’s still waiting a few more days for Premier League clubs,” Romano said.
“Liverpool links? Liverpool and Rabiot, I am told Liverpool are not negotiating for Rabiot. Not interested, not working on a deal, so Liverpool, no.
“And then Manchester United, a lot of questions about Man United. But as of today I’m not aware of any advance in negotiations between United and Rabiot.”
Clearly, then, Rabiot is going to get a move this summer and he will have a good choice of where he ends up.
But right now, it looks like Liverpool are simply not in the race and instead will move for other targets.
