‘I am better’: Leeds star says he’s much fitter than he was last season
Leeds United star Diego Llorente has spoken to about his fitness during his time at Elland Road.
The 28-year-old joined the Whites in an deal from Real Sociedad last summer, penning a four-year contract.
Llorente endured a difficult maiden season at Elland Road, with injuries restricting him to just 15 Premier League appearances.

The Spaniard played just once for Leeds in 2020, an 81-minute appearance against Chelsea on 5 December.
He made an Under-23s appearance in January before returning to the senior fold, but he only lasted 10 minutes against Newcastle before suffering a hamstring injury.
Luckily, Llorente finished the season with an extended run of games before sitting out the season finale against West Brom.
This season, the defender has made four appearances in all competitions, including a man-of-the-match display against Watford last time out.

Although Llorente has had two separate fitness issues this season, he says he’s physically “better” than he was last season.
“From a physical point of view, I am better than last season because I know my body better,” he told .
“I learnt a lot from these injuries last season, I know when I can push a little bit and when it’s better to stop and rest to stay fit for the next match.
“I learnt a lot from last season and my principal goal is to stay fit and help the team in more games.”
