Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham now on verge of signing ‘huge talent’

Tottenham Hotspur have been relatively busy on the transfer front in recent weeks, with one signing already over the line.

Spurs have signed one of England’s best young players in Archie Gray, and chances are they’re only just getting started.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with another superb youngster, and it has now been reported that his medical is under way.

‘Here we go’ on Yang min-hyuk to Tottenham

The player in question is Gangwon FC winger Yang Min-hyuk, who is said to have struck a deal over a move to Tottenham.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that the “huge talent” is set to sign for Spurs but stay on loan at his current club until January.

Now, Romano has declared “here we go” on Yang to Tottenham, saying a deal has now been completed, with the first part of his medical already booked.

Meanwhile, BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella has reported that the first part of Yang’s Tottenham medical has already begun in South Korea.

Yang will continue his development in South Korea for the remainder of 2024 and will then be assessed at Hotspur Way mid-season.

If he develops further and continues to shine in K League 1, there’s a pretty good chance he could join up with Ange Postecoglou’s first team in 2025.

Yang can operate off both flanks, so he’d provide great depth to Tottenham’s attacking ranks.

Who will Tottenham play on their 2024 pre-season tour?

Tottenham’s first match on their pre-season tour will be against Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on Saturday 27 July.

Spurs then head to South Korea to face Team K League at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday 31 July.

Their third and final game is at the same stadium on Saturday 3 August, where Bayern Munich await.
