Arsenal need to stand their ground on this. If they can spend 25m on Gerson, they can spend a hell of a lot more for Guendouzi. Time to dictate.

Arsenal and Guendouzi – rocky end to the relationship?
Guendouzi joined Arsenal in 2018 from Lorient for a reported £7million fee.
His early days at the Emirates suggested that Arsenal landed a top prospect for a tiny fee.
Guendouzi has clocked up 82 competitive appearances for the Gunners.
However, Mikel Arteta froze him out in wake of an incident against Brighton last summer.
Guendouzi grabbed Neal Maupay by the throat towards the end of the Gunners’ Premier League defeat at the Amex Stadium.
That incident was apparently the last straw for Arteta amid a number of purported disagreements, culminating in the player training alone.
Guendouzi then spent the 2020-21 campaign away on loan at Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin.
