Huddersfield fans react on Twitter to links with Leeds coach Carlos Corberan
A number of Huddersfield Town fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from various outlets, , suggesting that Leeds United coach Carlos Corberan is edging closer to taking over from Danny Cowley.
Cowley’s departure was announced over the weekend. He had taken the club to the brink of safety in the Championship with an impressive victory over West Brom on Friday.

However, that there was a disagreement with the owner over transfers. The report also noted that Corberan was one of the names that the club were speaking to.
that Leeds’s players believe that the Spaniard will leave Elland Road to take the role.

Corberan initially arrived as under-23 boss. He has remained in the role since, but Marcelo Bielsa also promoted him to his first-team staff in the months following his appointment.
Many Leeds fans admitted that they could not help but be disappointed at the prospect of losing Corberan. Meanwhile, plenty of Huddersfield supporters seem to be excited by the links.
Corberan’s under-23s were able to play an exciting brand of football designed to give the youngsters the best chance of being ready for a call-up to the first-team.
And while he lacks experience as a boss of his own side, it does look telling that Bielsa added him to his inner-circle of coaches.
Some Huddersfield fans fear that it may be a real gamble to appoint Corberan. But many hope that he can prove why he is so highly-rated by Bielsa should he get the job.
Here is how some of the Huddersfield supporters reacted to the reports…
Tell you what. Looking through some of the names that this Carlos Corberan knows. it is quite an exciting thought. Worked with Manuel Pellegrini, recommended by Pep, worked with Fabio Cannavaro, Bielsa obviously??♂️

Wow, such overwhelming feedback but let’s see the rumours are true.

I’ve dug into some research about Carlos Corberan, I take back my comments from yesterday as he seems like a decent candidate. I like his style of play, maybe it could be something worthwhile. I’m still not happy about how we stabbed Cowley bros in the back but hey ho.

Carlos Corberan’s barmy army! ?⚪️?

If they do hire Corberan, maybe it works out. The L**ds folks speak highly of him. But it’s a titanic gamble.

All points to Corberan being appointed and bringing in his own men to implement the style and fitness regime he wants. Certainly a ballsy decision but clearly with an eye on us actually being able to construct some attacking moves. Could be great (could also be a disaster ?)

Carlos Corberan…. Very promising, I’ll give him a go.
But for the love of God, please back the guy financially.
