How Twitter reacted to Real Madrid’s Danilo joining Manchester City for £26.5million

Pep Guardiola has been very busy adding to his side this summer and he’s further improved his options with the addition of right-back Danilo from Real Madrid, as announced on Manchester City’s .

The Brazilian joins for a reported fee of £26.5m, according to the , and Danilo becomes the second full-back addition of City’s summer.

After letting Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta leave for free, Guardiola has signed Tottenham’s Kyle Walker for a fee that made him the world’s most expensive defender and Danilo from Champions League holders Real Madrid.

The Brazilian, who joined Los Blancos from Porto, struggled to ever nail down a first-team spot with Dani Carvajal ahead of him in the selection order.

The 26-year-old would go on to play 55 times for Los Blancos, winning one La Liga title, two Champions Leagues, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.

He hasn’t yet been assigned squad number as City await a work permit for their new man, but he is joining the Club’s pre-season tour squad in America.

Danilo signs for City on a five-year deal, which will see him undergo the prime of his career in England. Having never played Premier League, unlike Kyle Walker, it will be interesting for fans to see how he copes.

His signing has already generated a lot of reaction on social media. Here’s how Twitter reacted:
