It’s semi-final time in Euro 2024 with Spain and France looking to secure a place in the final. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming tie.

An incredible Euro 2024 will come to an end this week with now just four teams left in the competition. 

Both Spain and France have overcome massive hurdles to get to this stage and will now be looking to go the full distance. 

A tie against Gareth Southgate’s England or Ronald Koeman’s Netherland’s awaits the winner, with the final set to take place on Sunday.

Both teams struggled to overcome their opponents in the quarter-finals. Spain needed a last-gasp winner to triumph against hosts Germany in extra-time.

In comparison, France saw victory through penalties after a 0-0 draw against Portugal.

Spain will be forced into multiple changes for the semi-final. In defence, both Robin Le Normand and Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal are suspended.

Going into midfield, Barcelona’s Pedri is out for the rest of the tournament after picking up a nasty injury against Germany in the previous round. 

Alvaro Morata is free to start despite rumours of a yellow card suspension after UEFA confirmed he was not booked in the celebrations. 

In comparison, France has no new injuries or suspensions for the match. Adrien Rabiot could return to the line-up after he missed the Portugal tie through suspension.
