How Son Heung-min reacted to seeing Tottenham’s Yang Min-hyeok arrive for national team duty with South Korea

Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea captain Son Heung-min met Yang Min-hyeok for the first time since his move to QPR on national team duty with South Korea.

Yang Min-hyeok received his second call-up to the South Korean national team following his impressive start to life in West London with the R’s.

But following his first assist in English football things haven’t gone quite as well with the youngster being dropped to the bench during QPR’s run of four defeats and one draw.

Son will now get a chance to talk with the young South Korean star about his time across the capital and offer such much-needed advice.

Son Heung-min greets Yang Min-hyeok on national team duty

Son Heung-min offered Yang Min-hyeok a warm welcome to national team duty with South Korea as he saw the winger for the first time since his loan move across London.

Son asked Yang: “How have you been?” before giving a long look and a handshake like he was trying to get a read on Yang.

The 18-year-old has been going through a tough patch at Queens Park Rangers having initially made a rather promising start to life at Loftus Road.

The Championship club will hope that the Tottenham Hotspur loanee will get some confidence back with some game time for South Korea.

There will also be a chance for Son to offer Yang some advice just like he did before he left for QPR initially back in January.

Yang has just been named on the NxGn 2025 list ranking as the 43rd best teenage talent in world football, highlighting just how talented he is.

How has Yang Min-hyeok been getting on at QPR?

Just as Yang was working his way into the starting line-up under QPR boss Marti Cifuentes he now looks to have lost his spot again.
