How safe Ange Postecoglou’s job at Tottenham now is after recent struggles

Tottenham Hotspur have won their last two league games, but they’re still in a rather terrible position.

Indeed, Spurs still sit 12th in the Premier Leagueღ table and they’re out of both domestic cup competiღtions.

Ange Postecoglou has been under pressure as ofꦦ late, and while recent wins over Brentford and Uni🌠ted will have helped, the fact that he’s underperꦺforming hasn’t changed.

Tottenham have been urged to sack Postecoglou recently, but, by the sounds of things, that isn’t goi🎉ng to be a consideration just yet.

Indeed, according to Dan Kilpatrick, speaking on the Rule the Roost Podcast, Ange Postecoglou is pro⛄bably safe until the end of this season at least.

Ange Postecoglou safe until the end of the season

Kilpatrick shared what he knows a🔯♌bout Postecoglou and his job security.

The journalist says that the noises out of Spurs are that Postecoglou is safe a🥀nd has the backing of the board.

The Spurs boss is🌃 safe until the end of the season, owing to the fact that there aren’t many other quality options available.

“Well, look♏, the noises from the club throughout this kind of awful winter have been that Postecoglou is safe, he’s got the full support of the board, and that they understand the injury crisis as the biggest reason for results. And that’s been borne out in the fact that he’s still in the job, frankl𒁏y. I think it is fair to say that the landscape for managers has not been great,” Kilpatrick said.

“It’s not as if there’s been an obvious alternative out there, and maybe the situation would be different if there had been several free agents on the market who could play progressive football and wanted the job. That’s a cou♉nterfactual we just don’t know. So Posseco Glue is obviously safe for now.

“He’s probably safe untiꦿl the end of the season, to be honest, because again, there’s just no one Spurs could get mid season.”

Who would replace Ange Postecoglou if he was sacked?

Postecoglou is seemingly safe until the end of the season, butꦡ it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise in the world if Daniel Levy did pull the trigger on the Australian.

Indeed, other Tottenham manager💎s have been sacked for a lot ♈less.

Mauricio Pochettino was sacked just months after reac❀hing a Champions League final, Jose Mourinho was sacked days before a cup final, while Antonio Conte was sacked while Spurs sat in fourth in the Premier League.

Postecoglou is in a precarious position still, and if results dip again, ques🌠tions will be asked.

If Tottenham do sack Postecoglou, they do already have a plan in m♊ind.

Indeed, Matt Wells is lined up to replace Postecoglou on an interim basis should the Australian go.

Wells is highly-rated in coaching spheres, and it would be interesting to see how he would get on if he was🔴 given a sho▨t at managing the Spurs senior team.
