How much Genoa can now sign Djed Spence from Tottenham for
Tottenham are set to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa, and there’s a part-exchange element of this deal to.
Indeed, Djed Spence is heading the other way on loan, and this loan deal could be turned permanent in the summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, this deal does indeed include a buy option, and it’s not the best deal for Spurs.
Just 18 months after paying for Djed Spence, Tottenham have now negotiated a deal that could see him leave for just €8m (£6m).
🚨🔴🔵 EXCL: Djed Spence will join Genoa on loan deal from Spurs… but it will include buy option clause!
Understand it’s not mandatory and it will be in the region of €10m — up to Genoa in June.
Tottenham will pay Spence’s full salary as part of Dragusin deal.

£6m for Spence just underlines how poor a signing this has been from Tottenham.
The defender barely got a game at Spurs under Antonio Conte, while Ange Postecoglou immediately sent him out on loan to Leeds.
At Leeds, the same issues arose as he barely played and was sent back prematurely, and now, it appears Tottenham are ready to wash their hands of the player.

This is frustrating because at one point, Spence looked like a star in the making.
Indeed, during that season-long loan at Nottingham Forest, Spence was genuinely one of the best players in the Championship, and that’s why Tottenham brought him in for £15m.
Of course, since then, he’s barely shown anything on the pitch to warrant that sort of move, and now, Spurs are ready to cut their losses and let him go for a significant loss.
Daniel Levy never likes selling a player for a loss, and the fact that Spence could now leave for this sort of fee just goes to show how out of favour he truly is at Tottenham.
Regardless of whether or not Genoa activate this buy option at the end of the season, it’s difficult to see any road back for Spence in north London, and he may have already played his final game for the club.
Fingers crossed Spence can get his career back on track in Italy, because it’s been a torrid 18 months for this young man.
