How Manchester United sources have reacted after ‘early inquiries’ made into Graham Potter links
Graham Potter is being linked with a move to Manchester United.
Erik Ten Hag’s job is seemingly under threat, and a change in the dugout may well be on the horizon.
Potter has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and, as you can imagine, journalists across the country are scrambling to verify this story.
Speaking on the , Sam Wallace has been speaking about this , and he says that after making initial inquiries into this story, he’s not heard anything to suggest that it isn’t true, claiming that he’s been told that the INEOS and Jim Ratcliffe camp really admire Potter.

Ratcliffe admires Potter
Wallace shared what he’s heard about the former Chelsea manager.
“Look, this story has come from Neil Custis who has been on that patch for a long time and the early inquiries I have made, nobody is pushing back against this, he’s certainly admired by the INEOS and Jim Ratcliffe camp, he’s someone people feel didn’t get a proper shot at Chelsea, and people feel he should be judged on his record elsewhere. I think there is admiration,” Wallace said.
Risky
This would be a massive risk if Ratcliffe made appointing Potter his first big call at Old Trafford.
Potter has already crashed and burned at Chelsea under an owner who doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing, and Ratcliffe’s footballing nous would be called into question if he brought Potter in and he failed in the same way he did at Chelsea.
Potter has only had one big job in his entire career, and he was sacked within six months of taking it, so we can’t quite get our heads around why he would be Ratcliffe’s first-choice if he was looking to make a change at United.
