How Kai Havertz actually picked up his injury in Arsenal training has been revealed
Following the end of the January transfer window, it was widely concluded that Arsenal had gambled on the fitness of Kai Havertz for the rest of the season.
Remarkably, since he arrived from Chelsea in 2023, Havertz is yet to miss a game owing to injury at Arsenal.
Havertz was ill last month meaning he missed games against Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion, but otherwise he’s never missed a game through a muscle injury or such.
The German has now played 85 games for the Gunners in that time, a commendable record of availability.
However, perhaps as a consequence of all of the minutes he’s been asked to play this season, Havertz has now injured his hamstring during Arsenal’s training trip to Dubai.
The severity of the issue is yet to be known, but the striker is now a doubt to face Leicester City this weekend.
Kai Havertz injured during high-pressing training drill
That being said, , who are in-the-know when it comes to all things Arsenal, have now provided an insight into events in Dubai.
According to their information, Havertz is believed to have injured his hamstring in a high-pressing drill in training.

TNATS weren’t aware of the severity of the issue given that scan results weren’t available yet, but either way, it appears as a real concern for Arsenal.
Of course, some supporters back in N5 might question the merits of Arsenal pushing the likes of Havertz in training, a player who has looked exhausted.
Havertz needed help from physios after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, such has been his level of effort.
However, it would seem obtuse to blame Arsenal’s coaching or medical staff for the issue, whose judgement should be trusted.
Ethan Nwaneri can’t be Mikel Arteta’s makeshift striker
In terms of solutions for Arteta if Havertz is missing for a period, it would seem as if Leandro Trossard will be deployed in a false nine role.
Although, Arsenal might turn to Mikel Merino in a surprise role if Arteta chooses to take inspiration from his days at Everton.
Ethan Nwaneri is another option, however the youngster will be needed on the right-wing until Bukayo Saka returns.
Saka is progressing well but is unlikely to return until next month at the earliest.
A tricky situation for Arsenal, and one they seemingly didn’t expect to happen.
