How former Man United boss Erik ten Hag feels about taking Borussia Dortmund job after Nuri Sahin gets sacked

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Erik ten Hag is not set to become the new Borussia Dortmund manager following Nuri Sahin’s departure as he is not ready to return to management yet.

Erik ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United in October and since then, he has been out of work.

Manchester United paid Ten Hag a compensation worth £13 million and since then, the Dutchman has stayed out of the limelight.

But following Nuri Sahin departing the Borussia Dortmund post after his former side lost 2-1 to Bologna in the Champions League, the former Ajax boss has been linked with the job.

Erik ten Hag will not replace Nuri Sahin as next Borussia Dortmund manager

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has been informed by sources close to Erik ten Hag that Dortmund advisor Matthias Sammer is a huge admirer of the former Manchester United boss.

However, the FA Cup winner is not ready to return to club management despite one of the biggest clubs in the world being interested in appointing him.

TBR Football understands that Ten Hag, whose style of play has been criticised is not keen on taking on any job mid-season.

Borussia Dortmund are having a difficult season as well, as they sit in 10th and 13th place in the Bundesliga and Champions League tables respectively.

Dan Ashworth decided Ten Hag’s future at Manchester United, who have also struggled under Ruben Amorim as they are languishing in 13th place in the Premier League.

Despite the three-time Eredivisie winner’s time at Old Trafford ending on a sour note, his availability has generated interest.

Erik ten Hag has rejected “good offers” since Manchester United sack

TBR Football have been told that Erik ten Hag has rejected a couple of “good offers” since leaving Manchester United.

The Saudi Pro League hold a long-term interest in hiring the 54-year-old as well.

Ajax were interested in re-appointing Ten Hag in April last year as well.

With Ten Hag’s CV boasting of multiple trophies, it is understandable why his stock remains high.
