How Arsenal dressing room reacted to Aubameyang losing captaincy
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed how the Gunners dressing room reacted after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang lost the captaincy.
On Tuesday, Arsenal confirmed in a that the 32-year-old “will no longer be” the Gunners captain.
In addition, Arteta will not consider Aubameyang for selection for Arsenal’s Premier League meeting with West Ham.

“We expect all our players, particularly our captain, to work to the rules and standards we have all set and agreed,” said the statement.
Arteta dropped Aubameyang from the squad that beat Southampton on Saturday.
While the Arsenal boss didn’t disclose how the striker broke the rules, multiple outlets claim he returned late from a trip abroad.
In March, Aubameyang missed the win over Spurs for a “breach of pre-match protocol”.
Arteta, speaking at his pre-match press conference, said the “painful” decision had been made to “defend the interests of the football club”.

The Spaniard said he had a face-to-face conversation with Aubameyang, who “had to accept the decision”.
Regarding the Arsenal dressing room’s reaction, quotes him as saying: “They accept the decision.
“They have committed to our culture, our demands and how we want to represent this club at a next level.
“And if you do not do that you cannot be involved in the basics.
“The players are dealing with it extremely well.”
Aubameyang joined Arsenal for £56m from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
This season, he has scored four goals, but hasn’t netted since 22 October.
