How Arsenal bosses feel about Mikel Arteta’s future after failing to beat to Nottingham Forest

TBR Football exclusively understands that Arsenal have no concerns over Mikel Arteta’s position and the direction that the club are going under his leadership.

Arsenal drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday evening, a result that increased Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table to 13 points given they were able to comfortably beat Newcastle United.

The Gunners have a game in hand but the title-race is now over in the eyes of many, a consequence of the injuries suffered by Arteta’s side.

On his part, Arteta has now enjoyed five-and-a-half years in charge at the Emirates Stadium, but having won the FA Cup in his first season, more silverware is yet to follow.

That being said, Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football, can confirm that a change is not under consideration at Arsenal.

Some sections of the Arsenal fan base have questioned whether Arteta is the right man to remain at the helm, however, bosses at the Emirates are firm in their stance.

Arsenal and Arteta believe that they are firmly on the right track and that this season, injuries have played a huge part in them coming up short.

Arsenal sources believe that Arteta has overseen the production of one of the best squads in Europe.

Under his guidance, the likes of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Martin Odegaard have all become world-class.

And in addition, Hale End youngsters Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have also emerged as two of the best young prospects the club has ever seen.

TBR Football understands that Arsenal firmly believe that with Arteta they already possess one of the best coaches in the Premier League and are convinced that he is very much the right man to continue leading them forward.

Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo was impressed by Arsenal despite their strikerless 0-0 draw at the City Ground on Wednesday evening.

But as mentioned, the result has seemingly ended any chance of the Gunners winning the Premier League this season.

Under Arteta, Arsenal have come very close to landing their first league title since Arsene Wenger’s time with the club.
