‘Hope he doesn’t leave Arsenal’: Some Gunners fans think they’ve got a ‘big talent’ on their books
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Gunners loanee Matteo Guendouzi for his latest display for France’s Under-21s.
The midfielder opened the scoring for Les Bleuets in their U21 European Championship group game against Iceland’s U21s.
Guendouzi, who captains France’s U21s, surged into the opposition area and slammed home a neat cutback to put his side ahead on 17 minutes.

Odsonne Edouard then doubled France’s lead with a stunning chip from a tight angle, which helped them seal a 2-0 win.
Although Sylvain Ripoll’s side lost their opener against Denmark, victories against Iceland and Russia helped them proceed to the next round.
And some Arsenal fans were pleased to see Guendouzi shine once again for his country:
Omg please I hope he doesn’t leave arsenal. Captain of u21 and scoring to help qualifying team? Please someone protect him from leaving to another club for 40m+

Haha same. Guendouzi is still a big talent! Him being captain and playing well for France U21 should help us get a better fee.

He has played well so far. He scored a goal too

Still think he’s a top prospect. Needs to improve defensively big time and I’m sure there’s a place for him at arsenal.

It’s the run he makes, we are missing a player like that

Guendouzi joined Arsenal in 2018 from French outfit Lorient, the Gunners reportedly paying £7million for his services, and has made 82 appearances in red and white.
However, the 21-year-old is spending the 2020-21 campaign with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin after falling out of favour with Mikel Arteta.
