‘Hope he can sign for Inter’: Agent’s 2019 comments will excite fans of rarely-used Tottenham star
Steven Bergwijn has given himself a much-needed boost ahead of his return to Tottenham Hotspur with a goal and assist for The Netherlands during the international break.
Bergwijn is one of the players who will be hoping that the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo sparks a change in his fortunes in North London.

The 24-year-old has only briefly threatened to be a game-changer for Spurs. He has scored four goals and provided nine assists in 60 appearances for the club.
And he has not got off to the best start under Antonio Conte. He was an unused substitute in both of the Italian’s first two games in charge.
But the international break has proved to be a successful one for the forward.

And, in Conte, Bergwijn is playing under a manager that he has wanted to sign for before – according to his agent.
, Fulco van Kooperen suggested that he hoped to move to San Siro – shortly after Conte had been appointed by the Nerazzurri.
“I hope he can sign for Inter or another Italian club,” he said.
“We’re only at the start of the market. He could come to Italy but at the moment nothing substantial is in place.
“I don’t think Antonio Conte’s arrival changes Steven’s chances of joining Inter.”
Bergwijn returning to Tottenham and a manager he clearly has admiration for
Of course, there is still a question mark over Bergwijn. Ultimately, he did not join Inter. So it remains to be seen how his bond with Conte develops.
But having that desire to play under Conte bodes well. And given the problems he has endured, he may perhaps now be even more appreciative of the opportunity.
He returns to Hotspur Way with a brilliant international performance under his belt. And waiting for him is a manager he clearly wants to play for.
