Hibs boss Nick Montgomery says one Celtic man is ‘fantastic’ ahead of tonight’s game

Celtic go into tonight’s game with Hibernian with renewed confidence after their brilliant fightback against St Johnstone on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were about to come in for some heavy criticism after a lacklustre performance saw them go into halftime 1-0 down at McDiarmid Park.

But goals from Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and James Forrest sealed the fightback and three points and the team heads into tonight’s game with Hibs full of confidence.

But that’s not all they are full of according to Hibs boss, Nick Montgomery. Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash at Celtic Park, Montgomery was full of special praise for Celtic and Rodgers whilst saying he still hopes to pick up a result in Paradise.

Montgomery said [], “For me, they’re the best team in the competition. They’ve got some world-class players – and Brendan [Rodgers] is a fantastic coach.

“We’ll still go there full of confidence and looking to get a result. We go there tomorrow ready to give everything we’ve got to get a result.”

Tonight could be pivotal in terms of the title race and Celtic will need to call on these ‘world-class‘ players if they hope to get a result.

A 0-0 draw against the Leith side earlier in the season saw Rodgers drop two points for the second time this season and the Hoops can ill afford to drop anymore.

With Rangers facing a tough trip to Tynecastle, if Celtic win and the Ibrox drop more points on the road then that would be a massive boost for Rodgers and his hopes of retaining the Scottish Premiership.

Going eleven points clear tonight would be massive. With the Glasgow Derby less than four weeks away, this really is a crucial stage of the season and Celtic will look to turn the screw before Rangers come to Parkhead at the end of the month.
