Hibernian fans react as Celtic, Leeds and Arsenal all reportedly eye Josh Doig
Hibernian teenager Josh Doig has emerged as a reported target for Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester City and Leeds United as well as Scottish champions Celtic – and Hibs supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Doig, 18, has starred under Jack Ross this season – clocking up 19 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership side. He has also shown versatility, playing originally as a left-back but doubling up as a left winger, too.
His performances have caught the eye down south, as well as impressing Celtic scouts. Manchester City and Leeds have joined Celtic in the race for Doig – while Arsenal have a long-term interest, and Chelsea have also had a look.
The report claims that Doig is likely to become the subject of offers in the summer, with a fee of just £1million said to be enough to lure him away from Easter Road. However, a string of good performances before then could change that.
Hibs fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their teenage starlet was interesting some of Britain’s biggest clubs, and many feel the £1million price tag is far too low for a player of Doig’s potential. One fan wants £15million for the left footer.
1mil is a joke. He is worth atleast 5 million

£5 million at the very least, he's a terrific young player with a huge future in front of him.

Well if he goes let's hope he has some level of ambition and stays well clear of Glasgow, Tierney a fine example.

If the lad from Celtic goes for 10m the Doig is at least 15m. I am being deadly serious!
