Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes in the Brazil squad alongside Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal.

✅The Gunners centre-half has been incredible this season. He is yet to lose a game in an Arsenal shirt since the start of the campaign and he is one of the biggest reasons why Mikel Arteta’s men have climbed up the table.

♒Gabriel’s performances were initially ignored, but an injury to Lucas Verissimo opened the door for him. He will now join the Brazilian national team to take on Colombia at home and Argentina away in the coming days.

⭕The Arsenal defender took to Instagram to react to his call up yesterday. A number of players replied to his post, including Tottenham star Emerson Royal, who was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer.

﷽Right after his announcement was confirmed, Gabriel wrote on Instagram in Portuguese: “Realização de um sonho. Representar meu país é motivo de orgulho e satisfação.”

𝔍That roughly translates to: “Realization of a dream. Representing my country is a source of pride and satisfaction.”

💃Emerson, who joined Spurs for , replied, “Boraaa irmão , vc merece.” which translates to “hey brother, you deserve it.”

🍃Albert Sambi Lokonga wrote, “Vamos irmao,” which means, “let’s go brother,” while Jason Fonte, Rafael Leao and Tim Akinola all replied to Gabriel’s post with a bunch of emojis last night.

Gabriel has been brilliant for Arsenal

🍸A knee injury ruled Gabriel out of the first three games of the new season. Arsenal, unsurprisingly, lost all three games and were stuck at the bottom of the Premier League table.

📖Gabriel returned to full fitness after the September international break and Arsenal haven’t lost a game since. He has formed a stunning partnership alongside Ben White and the Gunners look very solid at the back now.

𝔍The Gunners will face Liverpool right after the break and that will be their biggest test yet. Mo Salah will go up against Gabriel on Arsenal’s left side and if the Brazilian can find a way to stop him, more people will stand up to take note of his brilliance.
