‘He’s wasted’: Arsenal and Liverpool stars receive contrasting reviews from these Scottish fans

It may have been a disappointing night for Scotland, but Kieran Tierney once again enhanced his reputation on the international stage.

As usual, Scotland boss Steve Clarke played Tierney in a more central role in order to accommodate Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, but a number of fans believe Tierney is the better option on the left.

Scotland were held to a second successive draw in their World Cup qualifying group, with a 1-1 scoreline in Israel on Sunday following Thursday’s 2-2 draw against Austria at Hampden.

That leaves Scotland third in Group F, two points behind Austria and four behind a Denmark side that beat Moldova 8-0.

Tierney is now a fans’ favourite at Arsenal, after initially struggling with injury following his £25m move from Celtic in 2019.

He was named the club’s , and has turned in a series of impressive performances for Mikel Arteta’s side.

It’s been a less satisfying few months for Robertson, however, with Liverpool’s title challenge crumbling.
