‘He’s wasted’: Arsenal and Liverpool stars receive contrasting reviews from these Scottish fans
It may have been a disappointing night for Scotland, but Kieran Tierney once again enhanced his reputation on the international stage.
As usual, Scotland boss Steve Clarke played Tierney in a more central role in order to accommodate Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, but a number of fans believe Tierney is the better option on the left.
Scotland were held to a second successive draw in their World Cup qualifying group, with a 1-1 scoreline in Israel on Sunday following Thursday’s 2-2 draw against Austria at Hampden.

That leaves Scotland third in Group F, two points behind Austria and four behind a Denmark side that beat Moldova 8-0.
Tierney is now a fans’ favourite at Arsenal, after initially struggling with injury following his £25m move from Celtic in 2019.
He was named the club’s , and has turned in a series of impressive performances for Mikel Arteta’s side.
It’s been a less satisfying few months for Robertson, however, with Liverpool’s title challenge crumbling.
Those contrasting fortunes were reflected in the reaction from these fans to their respective performances in Israel.

The captaincy makes things complicated, cos he's guaranteed a start on the left of a 5 or a 4. I'm certain that Tierney would give us more on the flank than what Robertson has been.

i’ve kind of said this before but if we play a back 4 then Tierney has to play LB and i’m sorry but there’s no place for Robertson. [don’t @ me Liverpool fans] Tierney is the better player ..certainly for Scotland anyway. those are the tough calls a manager needs to make 🤷🏻♂️

the difference in quality between Tierney and Robertson is so clear when Scotland play. Robertson is nothing without Klopps system, Tierney can perform anywhere.
