‘He’s so good’: Some Spurs fans laud what ‘generational’ talent did in 3-0 win vs. Colchester
Spurs continued their pre-season with a solid 3-0 win against Colchester United, and Alfie Whiteman was a man on a mission.
The Tottenham academy keeper started and impressed against the Essex-based side. The 22-year-old kept a clean sheet. Yet it was his save in the final minutes of the match that got supporters talking.
Moreover, Whiteman made a late on in the game to deny Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu from getting his name on the scoresheet.

The north London-born shot-stopper has spent most of his Tottenham career as a fourth choice keeper.
Indeed, Whiteman has played just one senior game for Spurs. That coming last season in a UEFA Europa League group stage match against Ludogorets.
The keeper has seen little first-team action with Spurs over the years. However, fans were impressed with what they saw from the youngster against Colchester.

Moreover, on social media, supporters were quick to praise Whiteman for his stunning save in the final moments of the match to keep a clean sheet for Tottenham.
Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about Whiteman’s brilliant save…
