‘He’s ready’: Marsch says ‘incredible’ Leeds player is available v Chelsea, yet to start this term
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has confirmed that Joe Gelhardt is ready to feature this weekend.
The Whites, unbeaten in the Premier League after two games, host Chelsea at Elland Road on Sunday.
Marsch has to make a decision on Patrick Bamford, who limped out of the draw with Southampton.

The Leeds boss, speaking at his press conference on Friday, admitted that Bamford is a doubt.
“I would say it’s probably a decision that we’ll be ready to make tomorrow (Saturday),” he told .
“We know we can’t risk him and that we don’t want him to pick up further injury.
“But he’s feeling good, he’s looking good. So let’s see.”
Should Bamford not be available, then Gelhardt could potentially fill in.
The 20-year-old has recovered from the dead leg that ruled him out against Saints.
“Coops has been on the pitch,” said Marsch.
“I think him and then Pat as well but you know they’re a little bit day-to-day.
“So we’ll have to see how that factors in for Chelsea.
“And then Joffy is back in training and ready to go.”
Gelhardt is very highly-rated at Elland Road.
And after making his breakthrough last season, he is expected to play a big role under Marsch in 2022-23.
Labelled as an ‘incredible‘ talent, the youngster joined from Wigan and was fast-tracked into the first-team picture after shining for the Leeds Under-23s.
Gelhardt is yet to start for Leeds this season – he came off the bench late on against Wolves.
But if Marsch opts not to risk Bamford, then Gelhardt will fancy his chances of getting a start.
Alternatively, the Leeds boss could opt for Rodrigo Moreno up top.
