‘He’s phenomenal’: Jurgen Klinsmann says reported Liverpool target is a truly ‘unique talent’
Liverpool have been linked with Bayern Munich ace Jamal Musiala over the past year or so.
In October, reporter Florian Plettenberg claimed that the Reds are interested in the 19-year-old.
Musiala, who has won 19 caps for Germany, is one of numerous Liverpool options in case Jude Bellingham doesn’t join.

The teenager is in Hansi Flick’s squad for the 2022 World Cup, which gets underway in Qatar this weekend.
And Germany legend Jurgen Klinsmann can’t wait to see the reported Anfield target in international action.
“He’s phenomenal, a unique talent,” he told the .
“If he plays like he does for Bayern Munich and keeps his lightness and his easy way of doing things, then I think we are going to see a jewel coming out in this World Cup.”
Musiala was previously at the academies of Southampton and Chelsea, leaving the latter to join the Bayern setup in 2019.
He has since become one of Julian Nagelsmann’s top talents, with 22 appearances, 12 goals and 10 assists this term.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could really do with bolstering their midfield ranks in January and summer.
Arthur Melo has been on the sidelines for much of his loan stint at Anfield.
Liverpool also have other midfielders out of contract at the end of the season.
If the Reds go for a high-profile, young and incredibly talented signing, then Musiala certainly fits the bill.
At the same time, Bayern are an elite club and it might be difficult to convince them to sell.
Jamal Musiala style of play
have published an in-depth analysis piece about Musiala. Below is an excerpt.
‘Musiala is an extremely versatile midfielder who has already proven himself in both wide and central positions,’ they began.

‘Favouring his right foot, he frequently scans to build his awareness of his surroundings – judging where defensive pressure is likely to come from and, if wide, where best to dribble or play passes – and in so doing enhances his decision-making.
‘When in possession in a wide position, Musiala is regularly capable of beating opponents one-on-one, via taking numerous small touches that give him the freedom to quickly change direction, even though he is sufficiently physically gifted he is capable of running at speed over longer distances.
‘His passing ability has contributed to him featuring as both a number 10 and as one of two defensive midfielders, but it is in the latter role where his passing range has greater potential, when he links defence to the rotating attackers in front of him via his variety of passing techniques.
‘A similar variety is demonstrated when he shoots, regardless of whether it is his preference to place the ball with the inside of his foot.
‘If he is selected as a number 10, Musiala instead plays more transitional passes into those making forward runs, and he impresses when, on the counter, playing both in behind defences and to those travelling infield from wide starting positions.’
