‘He’s not interested’: Aston Villa can offer 49-year-old manager big money and he’ll still say no – journalist
Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has no interest in taking over from Steven Gerrard as the manager of Aston Villa.
Gerrard was after the 3-0 defeat against Fulham last night, with his reign coming to a sorry end at Craven Cottage.
Of course, we expect all sorts of rumours to swirl over who may be taking over, but Tuchel does not seem to be keen.
The Telegraph’s Matt Law tweeted that the 49-year-old does not want to be the new man in the Villa dugout.

Tuchel not interested in Villa job
The German is still waiting for a route back into football after his dismissal by Chelsea ealier this season after a lavish transfer window.
There has been talk that he would be interested in the England job and that could become available after the forthcoming World Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino seems to be Villa’s top target, with Thomas Frank also of interest ahead of the clash with Brentford this weekend.
Villa have ambitious and rich owners who want to push their club towards the European places, not be involved in relegation battles.
Gerrard was meant to take Villa to the next level after taking over from Dean Smith but he has embroiled Villa in a basement dogfight as it stands.
It is an enticing job for a good manager to get a huge club firing again but it seems that even big money could not convince Tuchel to be that man.
