‘He’s got that X-Factor’… BBC pundit is blown away with 23-year-old Celtic player this season
Almost every Celtic player was on top of their game last night in the 4-1 win over Hibs last night.
Matt O’Riley was singled out by Brendan Rodgers as one of the players he thought was excellent in the win but did share his concerns about Mikey Johnston’s performance once more.
But there is one player that has caught Neil McCann‘s eye this season after what he’s produced not only last night but during the whole season for Celtic.
The former Rangers striker has been left mightily impressed with Luis Palma and thinks he could be the player that fills the void left by Portuguese winger, Jota.
McCann said [], “But again, it’s Luis Palma out on that wide position. When they lost Jota I feel that they really suffered for a player that can get people off their seat.
“And I think Palma has got that X-Factor again. It was a proper assist.”
Whilst comparisons with Jota are slightly unfair, it cannot be denied that Palma does offer something special to the Celtic team.

Jota is blessed with pace and a natural dribbling ability which means he could ghost past any defender in the league, Palma is not.
But what Palma does possess is vision, guile, the ability to pick a pass and pinpoint crossing accuracy as well as a thunderous right boot.
I am pretty sure the Celtic fans do not want any of the current players to replace Jota, they just want to see players good enough to pull on the green and white Hoops and be successful.
Palma is well on his way to doing exactly that and as long as he keeps scoring and creating assists, he will be loved by the Celtic support in his own right.
