‘He’s got it all’: Chris Waddle says Liverpool’s Curtis Jones should be on England radar
Liverpool got themselves over the line last night as they saw off Tottenham at Anfield, with Curtis Jones in fine nick in the middle of the park for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Jones has grown into the role in the last few months and now seems to be fully trusted by Klopp to do the business when called upon.

The midfielder’s progression has been a big bonus for Klopp and his coaching staff. In a season marred by injuries, Jones’ development is pleasing and has given the German coach another option at first-team level.
Indeed, Jones is impressing former players and pundits, too. last night, former England winger, Chris Waddle, believes the Liverpool man should be on his way to the Three Lions squad soon.
“He’s such a good player. His first touch, his awareness, his energy levels. He’s got it all. He has got to be on Gareth Southgate’s radar”, Waddle said.
It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jones come into the fold. Southgate is known for selecting players in form, as well as giving younger players a chance if they’re doing the business.

Jones, then, is definitely in the category of form players in the Premier League at the moment.

At first, Curtis Jones might have just looked like an average midfielder who wasn’t offering too much to the cause.
But in the last three months in particular, the Reds youngster has been sensational. He now looks one of Klopp’s first-choice midfielders and even when Thiago returns, Jones may keep his place.
His performance last night was excellent again and he deserves all the plaudits coming his way.
