‘He’s everything’…Ange Postecoglou blown away by £22m Tottenham player after Luton win

Tottenham once again left it late to seal a big three points today as they managed to get over the line against Luton.

A late finish from Heung-Min Son ensured Spurs keep pace with the teams around them and put the pressure on Aston Villa ahead of their game with Wolves tonight.

For Tottenham, it was all a bit too close in the end but manager Ange Postecoglou will be happy to get the win and see his side get over the line.

Of course, it took a goal from the star of the show, Heung-Min Son, to get them there. The South Korean has been superb all season and now has 15 Premier League goals to his name.

And speaking after the game, Postecoglou had some high words of praise for the striker.

Ange Postecoglou praises Heung-Min Son after Tottenham beat Luton

Since Harry Kane left in the summer alongside Hugo Lloris, Son has really stepped up to the cause for Spurs.

His goals and leadership are massive for them and speaking to the BBC about his captain, Postecoglou couldn’t praise ‘Sonny’ enough.

“He keeps delivering. He had a couple of good chances, was a bit unlucky with a couple. He’s been a great player for this club for a long time and long may he continue. He’s everything you see. He’s really committed, has really high standards and gives everything he has every minute he’s out there. He’s a credit to himself and this club,” Postecoglou .

Heung-Min Son is Tottenham’s top man

Under Antonio Conte, Heung-Min Son was a player struggling for his very best and there was even a time where some thought he might be off.

But since Postecoglou has come in, Son has really took the mantle of skipper and ran with it.

It’s not only the goals, assists and big moments he brings to the team. But it is clear from afar that the Tottenham players in and around him really love him.

If Tottenham do end up making the top four this season, then Son will have been a major reason behind it.

If not, then nobody can accuse him of not giving his best for the cause.
