‘He’s appreciated’: Leeds United really like ‘underrated’ playmaker, but haven’t opened talks yet – journalist

Leeds United have been linked with a move for former Manchester United man Juan Mata, .

ꦆThe ‘underrated’ playmaker left Manchester United on a free transfer this summer🧸 and is yet to find a new club despite the new season already being underway.

꧑Reports have suggested that Mata is willing to take a pay-cut to join Leeds☂ but it seems that Jesse Marsch’s men have not even made contact with the player at this moment in time.

ꦇThe 34-year-old saw his playing time massively reduced over the past three seasons at United as younger players emerged at Old Trafford.

Leeds really like Mata

💫But the Spaniard could soon get an offer from Leeds as Fabrizio Romano claims that the club ‘appreciate’ him.

🍌The journalist says that despite rumours, Mata and Leeds have not reached an agreement for the player to move to Elland Road.

🦩Indeed, the Whites think he is a top professional but they have not entered talks with Mata at this stage in time.

ღMata has enjoyed a hugely successful career and has won some prestigious honours in his time, including a World Cup with Spain and a Champions League at Chelsea.

💧The former Spain international is now a free agent and could be a desirable option for many teams in the Premier League.

🐼Despite being past his best, Mata could bring a wealth of experience to any team as a player who has played at the highest level in football.

✨Jesse Marsch has typically opted for younger players this summer as all his signings have been aged 25 or under.

𒀰But as the club appreciates Mata, the Whites could move to sign the player on a free transfer to bring in an experienced head to guide their young squad.
