‘He’s a talent’: Pundit shares off-air talk with Everton man about £35m Arsenal-linked ace

Tony Cascarino shared on about an off-air conversation he had with Andros Townsend about Arsenal and Everton-linked, Wilfried Zaha.
The Radio pundit shared that he told Everton’s new summer capture that Zaha can ‘make it happen’ and when he is on his game then he is ‘as dangerous as any wide man’.
There have been rumours that Arsenal have reignited their interest in the £35 million Crystal Palace winger this summer, and added with that, also reported Everton’s interest in the former Manchester United player.
Given Zaha’s ‘dangerous’ talents, former Republic of Ireland striker, Cascarino, queried about a lack of transfer noise surrounding the Ivory Coast-born trickster during these past few months.
“He’s a talent,” said Cascarino. “A really good player. But nothing has happened for him, and that’s Wilfried Zaha.
“I think Wilf is so integral to what Palace do and how they play. I was speaking to Andros Townsend off-air about Wilf and saying to him ‘he makes it happen’.
“For him to be at his very best, when I see Wilf on his game, he’s as dangerous as any wide man for me.
“It’s a bit unfortunate his career because he had the big move and it didn’t work out. He goes back to Palace and shows why big clubs look at him and thought ‘there’s a big player in there’.
“I think it’s a big year for him. All this transfer talk that’s been going on and Wilf’s not even been mentioned.”

Zaha will turn, 29, in November and the question has to be raised as to who would be willing to put big money down on the table for his talents.
Perhaps splashing big cash on a player who is nearly 30 and struggled when he was last on the big stage is probably off-putting.
But there is no doubting Zaha’s qualities and how he can rip any defence in the Premier League up in a matter of moments.
In regards to Arsenal signing him, they probably need to prioritise other options and don’t need to sign him.
And whilst Everton brought in Towsend and Demarai Gray’s talents for little money, more zip, fire, pace and fear for the opposition needs to be added to their final third.
