‘He’s a fantastic footballer’… Harry Redknapp says £30m Arsenal player is truly amazing
Harry Redknapp has been full of praise for Martin Odegaard.
Speaking to ESPN on , Redknapp was taking part in a challenge where he was shown old football shirts and asked to name the first player who came to mind.
Redknapp was shown an Arsenal shirt from the late 2000s, and while Odegaard never played in that kit, Redknapp said that the Norwegian was, strangely, the first player who came to his mind.
Not only did Redknapp name Odegaard as the player he thought of when he saw the Arsenal shirt, he said that he’s a fantastic footballer who he truly admires.

“Odegaard, he’s a fantastic footballer,” Redknapp said.

Redknapp isn’t wrong, Odegaard is a fantastic footballer, and he’s hitting form at just the right time.
Odegaard has been truly brilliant for Arsenal in recent weeks, and it’s very exciting to see the midfielder in full flow at such a vital point of the season.
It’s no coincidence that Arsenal have gone on this incredible winning run at the same time Odegaard’s performance levels have gone up a notch or two.
The midfielder has basically been running every single game he’s played as of late, and the fact that he’s even getting praised by a former Tottenham manager is a testament to just how good he is.
Odegaard is a truly special player, and Arsenal are lucky to have him.
Whether or not Arsenal do go on to win the league this season remains to be seen, but even if they do fall short, Odegaard can be proud of the performance he has put on this term, and know that he’s done all he can to lead his team to glory this time around.
