Hertha Berlin’s sporting director Michael Preetz says midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has ‘enriched’ the team following his loan from Arsenal.
The 21-year-old is embarking on a new chapter after falling out of favour back at the Emirates Stadium.
Guendouzi was permitted an exit after not featuring for the Gunners since his outburst at the final whistle against Brighton back in June.

The star was involved in an altercation with Seagulls striker Neal Maupay, and Mikel Arteta didn’t pick him again during Project Restart.
It seems Guendouzi is ready to get back on track and judging by Preetz’s comments, he’s made a good start over in the Bundesliga.
He told Kicker (): “Three months ago, Matteo’s loan signing wasn’t possible, but it was at the beginning of October.
“We are happy that he is here and that he enriched our game from the start. We’ll see everything else next summer.”
Guendouzi has only made a couple of appearances for the club so far, and has been in impressive form for the France U21s over the international break.
TBR’s View – Good comments about Guendouzi
It remains to be seen if Guendouzi has a future back at Arsenal, but it is good to hear he is making a difference over in Germany.

The star is a talent, it’s just about whether he can be consistent and whether he can prove himself worthy of selection again for Arteta.
With Thomas Partey now on the scene and Mohamed Elneny back in the picture, a return may be difficult but Guendouzi can certainly give the club a decision to make.
