‘Here we go’… Fabrizio Romano drops update involving Spurs forward Alejo Veliz

Fabrizio Romano has declared “here we go” on Tottenham Hotspur forward Alejo Veliz joining Sevilla on loan.

The Spurs attacker has been linked with a temporary switch away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent days.

On transfer deadline day, speculation intensified with regards to Veliz completing a loan move to Sevilla as the player travelled to the Spanish city for his medical.

And on Thursday evening, Romano confirmed that, after passing his medical, Sevilla and Spurs have just exchanged documents to complete the loan deal.

The transfer insider stressed that this is a straight loan deal and that Veliz would be back at N17 come the end of the season.

“Alejo Veliz to Sevilla, here we go! Documents just exchanged with Tottenham to complete loan deal,” he wrote on X.

“Medical tests done earlier today as he arrived in Sevilla around lunch time. NO buy option, back to #THFC in June.”

Tottenham ace Alejo Veliz set for first-team football at Sevilla once fully fit

Veliz had been a regular off the bench for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham in the first half of the season.

However, the Spurs summer signing suffered a knee injury on New Year’s Eve which ruled him out for weeks.

Luckily, Veliz has stepped up his recovery in recent days, and it shouldn’t be too long before he’s back in action.

Earlier this week,  reported how the player uploaded footage of himself back in training on his Instagram stories.

Veliz could be seen doing some runs and appeared to be moving with ease. He captioned the story “let’s go again” and added flexed bicep, crossed fingers and praying emojis.

The Argentine talent will now have regular first-team football waiting for him at Sevilla once he’s back to full fitness.

Then, if all goes to plan, Postecoglou can take a really good look at him in pre-season and potentially involve him much more for Spurs next term.
