‘Here we go’…Fabrizio Romano confirms 22-year-old Chelsea player has decided to leave

Armando Broja is leaving Chelsea to sign for Fulham after picking the Cottagers over Wolves and AC Milan.

The 22-year-old Chelsea man has been in-demand all window and has had a number of teams to choose from. In the end, it has gone right down to the wire and it looks like Marco Silva’s Fulham have won the race.

, Fabrizio Romano has given his now famed ‘here we go’ on the deal and it’s expected to be wrapped up soon.

Broja will move on loan to Craven Cottage with medical tests set to be completed tonight in time for the deadline passes.

Chelsea make a bold call

This is quite the decision from Chelsea given their lack of forwards and lack of goals at the moment.

The club must feel like sending Broja out gives them a chance of getting the supposed £50m fee they want for him in the summer if they do sell.

Further, Christopher Nkunku is coming back and scored against Liverpool this week to show he might be the man to take Chelsea forward.

Broja, of course, will be hoping for a run of games and he seems a like for like replacement for Alex Mitrovic, who left in the summer.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea themselves will make any sort of late swoop to make a new striker come in the doors.

As it stands, it seems like they’ve simply opted to let Broja go and go with what they have. It’s a risk, and one that will be scrutinised if it all goes poorly from here on in.
