‘Here we go again’, ‘starting to worry’: Some Arsenal fans react to Chris Wheatley’s update
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Chris Wheatley’s update regarding Thomas Partey’s fitness.
The Arsenal correspondent believes that Partey’s knock suffered against Aston Villa isn’t serious, and that he could be back against Leeds on Sunday.
Partey arrived at the Emirates Stadium last summer to much fanfare, but his season hasn’t been smooth sailing due to a number of injury issues.

The 27-year-old had only recently returned to the team after suffering a hip injury which kept him out for 10 games.
However, he limped out of the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday, being replaced by Willian with 15 minutes left of the game.
According to , Partey felt some pain in his thigh before signalling that he needed to be substituted in the second half.
The outlet added that his injury isn’t thought to be serious, and the player will spend the next few days recovering ahead of the match at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
However, some Arsenal fans don’t want to see Partey back in action right away in case he suffers another setback, and would rather him get some rest to get back to full fitness.
Here is what’s been said on social media:
Is it a recurrence of a previous injury, Chris? Starting to worry that he’s picking up niggles here and there, the type of which he never suffered at Atletico (pointed out by on the podcast earlier).

Regardless give him rest & play him against Benfica.

All I want to see is him complete two full games on the bounce

Partey should be given a two week rest. We are not giving him enough time to heal.

i would prefer if we don’t play him, forget about the league
