Henning Berg says 20-year-old Manchester United player needs ‘a little bit more time’

Henning Berg has given his verdict on Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The former United defender has said that the Red Devils should have signed England international striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 before he moved to Bayern Munich.

So, what has Henning Berg said about Rasmus Hojlund? Let’s take a look.

Henning Berg gives verdict on Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund

Well, Henning Berg has been sharing his opinion on Rasmus Hojlund. While the former Manchester United defender thinks that Hojlund is a good striker, he thinks that he is not yet ready to lead the line for Erik ten Hag’s side.

The former Rangers player, who is now the manager of Swedish club AIK Fotboll, has said that United should have signed Harry Kane.

England international striker Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023.

The 30-year-old has scored 22 goals and given five assists in 16 Bundesliga matches for Bayern so far this season.

Hojlund has scored two goals and given one assist in 13 Premier League starts and has scored five goals in six UEFA Champions League matches for the Red Devils.

Berg told : “There are some really good players at United but as a group they’re not there yet. Hojlund is a top striker. He will be good but he’s not experienced at this level yet. He’ll need a little bit more time.

“If you’d brought Harry Kane he’d have guaranteed you x amount of goals every year. OK, maybe it was not possible to get Harry Kane, but the proven goalscorer is what United needed.”

My View: Rasmus Hojlund will come good… eventually

In my opinion, Rasmus Hojlund will come good for Manchester United eventually. I believe that the Denmark international striker will deliver the goods for the Red Devils in due course.

Hojlund is just 20 now. He can only get better. After all, United would not have signed the Denmark international striker had he not been a good player.

I urge United fans to stay supportive towards Hojlund and back him all the time.
