‘He’ll be fuming’…Roy Keane says 28-year-old West Ham player won’t be happy with David Moyes after Manchester United
West Ham were well and truly beaten by Manchester United today as David Moyes had another unhappy return to Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho found their shooting boots to propel United back into the European picture and dent West Ham’s own hopes.
For the Hammers, it was a very disappointing day at the office really. They failed to ever get going and their top players weren’t involved in the game.
Of course, one of the players to hardly be involved at all after being dropped to the bench was Kalvin Phillips.

The Man City loanee started last week but only came on for the final 25 today and speaking about the England man, suggested Phillips would have been fuming at being left out.
“From the player’s point of view I think he’ll be fuming. You go out on loan to play some games you get 70 minutes, he’s a sitting midfielder so you use your intelligence there in terms of when to sprint. Obviously David Moyes will be worried about him, in terms of picking up an injury but from the player’s point of view he has to get minutes, has to get games, now he’s gone from City and he’s sat on the bench and I think from the player’s point of view, he’ll be fuming,” Keane .
Kalvin Phillips will need to be patient
While Keane’s point here is valid, there is also the fact that Phillips played in midweek and looked absolutely miles off the pace.
For David Moyes, it was probably an easy decision to leave him out and in the end, it mattered little anyway.
Phillips will have to be patient and get himself fit and up to speed quickly if he’s going to be picked.
There were question marks over his fitness while at Man City and he can’t allow that to creep into his time with West Ham.
