Arsenal are looking to bolster their ranks ahead of their return to European football next season.

A new striker is the priority, but the Gunners are apparently also keeping tabs on wide players.

Nicolas Pepe appears to be surplus to Mikel Arteta’s requirements and could well leave this summer.

Meanwhile, Raphinha has proven himself to be one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Premier League.

Last season, he scored 11 goals contributed three assists from 35 top-flight appearances.

However, his future at Elland Road remains uncertain.

And Leeds are reportedly open to selling Raphinha providing a suitors can meet their valuation.

Fabrizio Romano, writing on , recently claimed the Whites want €55m (£47m) for the Brazilian.

And while Wilshere acknowledges Raphinha would be expensive, he thinks he’d be worth it for Arsenal.

“For someone who’s only been in England for two years, he’s got a lot of experience,” he said on talkSPORT, via .

“He came to England and just clicked straight away.

“He was in a relegation battle last year so he knows he’s up for a fight.

“I think he’d be a good one for Arsenal. He’ll be expensive, of course he will.”

“Build an admiration”

Arsenal would get themselves a superb player in Raphinha.

He is an exciting attacker who has proven himself in the Premier League and looks set for stardom.

Alan Curbishley one of Raphinha’s goals last season – against Norwich in November – was “Salah-like”.

Indeed, the Leeds star admitted in April that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was one of his inspirations.

“Over time and playing against players you get that experience and contact with them on the pitch you build an admiration for them,” Raphinha told .

“I’d say that Mohamed Salah is one of those for the way that he plays, others as well.”
