Marsch left Leeds under a dark cloud, but, based on everything the man himself says, he absolutely loveꦡd his🍃 time at Elland Road.

Indeed, Marsch can’t speak highly enough of the club, and speaking on the , he’s now documented just how sad he was when he𝄹 left the club, claiming that he didn’t even say goodbye to his players because he wouldn’t have been able to stop himselಞf crying.

Jesse Marsch heartbroken about leaving Leeds

The ‘clever’ manager 💝says he almost cried upon leaving Ella♛nd Road.

“Were you bitt💯er about h🌺ow it ended at Leeds?” Marsch was asked.

“I was just heartbroken, I wasn’t bitter. I was hear꧙tbroken. I loved the team, the people in the club, I felt like we were united and moving in the right direction. I didn’t even say goodbye because I would’ve just been bawling and I don’t like putting myself in that situation,” Marsch said.

Ruthless

This is the sad reality of football management.

Owners h♍ave to be ruthless when things aren’t going well, and once your time is up, everything you’ve built is no longer yours.

Granted, Marsch didn’t do a great job at Leeds, but he did build a squa🐎d in his own image, and, by all accounts, he got on with his players too.

Unfortunately, much lik🔥e most managerial tenures, Marsch left under a dark cloud and he wasn’t able to build much of a legacy at Elland Road, and sadly, that’s just the reality of modern day football – if you’re not doing the job properly, you won’t be given much time.
