‘Incredible service’: Graham Roberts hails Spurs player who’s reportedly on verge of leaving
Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has paid tribute to Spurs defender Danny Rose as speculation hots up over a potential departure from North London.
The 30-year-old has been on Tottenham’s books since 2007, making 214 competitive appearances for the Lilywhites.
However, Rose barely featured after Jose Mourinho took the Spurs reins and, in January, was loaned out to fellow Premier League side Newcastle.

Now, has reported that the left-back is on the radar of Serie A side Genoa, while Cagliari were also linked with his signature.
Appearing surplus to Mourinho’s requirements and with one year left on his contract, it would be surprising were Rose to remain at the club beyond the end of the transfer window.
And Roberts, who also reckons Rose will be gone before the window shuts, sang the player’s praises on social media:
I want to wish Danny Rose lots of luck if he leaves the club this window as it it looks like he will.Given an incredible service to this club and every time want on that pitch left nothing behind. Many players now can be robotic he always wears his heart on his sleeve.COYS

TBR View:
Rose has certainly been a top player over the years for Tottenham but, with Mourinho seemingly rendering him surplus to requirements and Spurs running out of time to cash in on him, it’s very unlikely that he’ll stay put.
That said, Rose has a lot to offer, and to see him linked with a modest Italian club that only just survived relegation from Serie A is baffling – he can do better than that surely.
